A century ago, Yod and Yard, sisters, were the wives of Phra Wanathep, with Yard faithfully serving as the main wife to Madame Kamlai. However, Khun Thep persuaded Yod to betray her sister by knocking her out so he could rape Yard. Later, driven by jealousy, Yod tricked Yard into poisoning Kamlai, resulting in the tragic deaths of Kamlai and her two daughters. When the truth emerged, the servants hanged Yard for her crime. Yod’s mother, learning of her daughter’s actions, stabbed Yod and placed a curse on her: if she ever made her mother cry again, she would never be reborn. This story highlights the consequences of jealousy and betrayal within a complex family dynamic.
